San Diego Real Estate Future Trends

San Diego real estate

There is a move by the Left to ‘encourage’ people to abandon the ‘burbs and move back to the cities. High tolls on roads going into and out of the city, high gasoline taxes, no public parking and more taxes put on parking lots, etc. to make commuting cost prohibitive. They look at it as a salvation for the broke cities, environmentally friendlier, will encourage the construction of more mass transit facilities, and eventually will end the need for a car (or so they think).

The point being, no one can predict what other issues may arise that would affect the housing market, considering the recent push to have government make all the decisions for everyone. This is not your father’s market. In fact, there are two words that could screw-up San Diego & California’s existing real estate investments … rent control.

California cities with rent control:

Berkeley
Beverly Hills
East Palo Alto
Hayward
Los Angeles
Los Gatos
Oakland
Palm Springs
San Francisco
San Jose
Santa Monica
West Hollywood

  1. Rent Control, just another scheme by the left to flatten the monetary resources. Taking from those who have (who worked hard for it) and giving it to those who have not (won’t work, can’t work, or to loaded to work). We’re from the government and our mission statement is, We will Provide, as in the “sperm to worm” philosophy.
