Spruce Street Suspension Bridge San Diego California
Built in 1912 this suspension footbridge is a historic site in San Diego.
It was originally built to connect the people who lived on the west side of the canyon with the bankers Hill neighborhood on the east side of the canyon where people could have easy access to trolleys and shopping.
The canyon below the bridge really looks like you could be in some tropical paradise. When walking across the bridge you can feel it sway slightly.
It’s really unusual to find a suspension footbridge like this in a major city in the United States. This is definitely a must visit historic location in San Diego California.
